Terms of Service

Read every word. There will be no quiz, but there could be.

1. Who may play

This server is open only to citizens of Antarctica who are older than 90 years. By logging in you confirm both, and that you can prove them to a penguin on request. Residents of research stations count as citizens only after their third winter. Being 89 and very mature does not count.

2. Accepting these terms

By creating an account, logging in, looking at the login page, or thinking about this server for longer than a minute, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, close the page slowly and with dignity.

3. Your account

Keep your password and login links to yourself, the way you keep your favourite iceberg a secret. You're responsible for everything done with your account, including things you did while asleep. Your name may not be funnier than the administration's.

4. Behaviour

Don't cheat, exploit bugs, use automation or annoy other players. Don't annoy the administration either, even by accident. Jumping is allowed, but only with style. Sneaking past other players is considered rude after 9 pm Antarctic time, which is any time.

5. Chat

No spam: saying the same thing twice counts as spam, and so does saying something once if it was boring. No shouting in capital letters; the penguins are trying to sleep. Be polite to everyone, even to players who lose to you, and especially to the administration. Rudeness, insults and sarcasm are forbidden, except in these terms. Anyone caught being rude will be asked to apologise to an iceberg of the administration's choosing.

6. Punishments

The administration may warn, mute, freeze, punish or block any player, at any time, for any reason, for no reason, or for a reason it makes up later. Typical reasons include, but are not limited to: winning too much, losing too dramatically, standing in a suspicious way, being 90 years old in a way that seems 89, and asking what the reasons are.

7. Weather

The server does not guarantee sunshine. Complaints about the cold must be sent by post, on ice, and will melt before they're read.

8. Availability

The server is provided as is. It may be changed, restarted, reset, shut down or moved to the South Pole at any time, and anything may be lost, including your dignity.

9. Changes

These terms may change at any time, including while you read them. Continuing to play means you accept the new terms, and probably the ones after them too.
